About Me

DSC_6355.JPG

I married my wonderful husband, Andy, in 2002 and although we have fantastic memories of our special day, we both felt that our ceremony lacked the personal touch and didn’t really tell ‘our story’ and so the seed was sown…

I spent the next 20 years thinking how lovely it would’ve been to have had a ceremony that truly reflected our personalities and told everyone that would listen that I would love to ‘marry couples’ in a really individual way…

By 2005, when our twins were born, celebrant led ceremonies were growing in popularity. We held a naming ceremony for our four-month-old babies, under a beautiful willow tree in the grounds of an old mill on the River Kennet. It was a spectacular backdrop for a special day and we loved every minute of it. I then spent the next 17 years telling everyone that I would love to conduct ceremonies like this too…

But life was busy…

I worked as a Flight Service Manager for Virgin Atlantic Airways for over 30 years, jetting around the world and loving every minute of it. I’ve always had a passion for travel and especially enjoyed meeting new people every time I went to work. I met the most amazing individuals; from celebs and royalty to holiday makers and business people but the characters with the most colourful life stories were often my fellow cabin crew…

A passion for people’s stories combined with a love of all kinds of celebrations nudged me closer to finally fulfilling my dream of becoming a celebrant…

In 2009, we seized an opportunity to live in Dubai for two years and immediately fell in love with the vibrant city with its blue skies, stunning skyline, sunny beaches and desert dunes…

Two years rolled in to five then ten and the rest as they say is history…

For years now, I have happily hopped between London and Dubai and long may it continue because my heart belongs in both cities, and to be able to conduct unique and personalised ceremonies in both places truly excites me…

I hung up my ‘Virgin’ wings in 2020, took an advanced creative writing course and then passed my Diploma in Naming and Couples Ceremonies. I trained with the prestigious Civil Ceremonies Ltd in the UK. I feel very fortunate to be able to use my experience from all my travels, my knowledge of different cultures and my people skills. Most importantly, I look forward to bringing some of that unique’ Virgin flair’ to all kinds of ceremonies, celebrating milestones in people’s lives in an exclusive and bespoke manner…

Whether it’s celebrating a marriage on the beach, renewing vows in the desert, committing to a soulmate in the place you first met or naming your gorgeous baby under a weeping willow, I promise that your ceremony will be stylish, chic and truly unique…

I look forward to meeting you and hearing your story…
